carolina b. Cooney was born in 1947 in Geneva, New York, although he spent most of his childhood in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Caroline has always been a happy person. people used to call her shallow. She was told that if she thought a little about the deeper things in the world, her outlook would grow darker.
However, Caroline never saw any reason to follow that particular advice. and she believes her happy-go-lucky personality helps her create the kind of stories that appeal to young readers.
The author knew pretty early on that she wanted to make a living as a writer. Carolina was an ambitious girl. She loved school and participated in as many activities as she could.
That ambition extended to reading and saw the author experiment with everything from hardy boys to cherry ames.
When I was in sixth grade, all those hazy, hazy hopes and dreams of a future in publishing came into focus. caroline had the pleasure of being taught by mr. albert, a wonderful teacher that all the girls loved and the boys wanted to imitate.
albert loved writing and so he set out to foster that same love in his students. He would take random pages from the New Yorker, pass them to his students, and then ask each of them to write a short story based on what their particular New Yorker page said.
activity forced the gears on caroline b. cooney’s head to start spinning. took the art of inventing things with passion. It fueled her desire for books and it wasn’t long before she was spending endless hours of her week in the library, drawn to all the people and books.

Writing has been a part of Caroline’s life ever since and she is grateful. Between 1965 and 1968, the author attended Indiana University, Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing, and the University of Connecticut.
And those are just the universities that stood out. Caroline developed a habit of ordering herself to go back to school to get her degree. and she would comply with that order, going so far as to join a university and attend a few classes.
However, none of those attempts were successful. Caroline never got her degree. For that reason, she is lucky to have a writing career that she can fall back on.
The author started writing professionally in college. At first, he produced simple stories that he sold to ‘seventeen’ magazine. his success in that field led her to dream big and it wasn’t long before he started writing books.
The successful results confirmed Caroline’s earlier beliefs that she was destined to write fiction. the author has never understood suggestions that writing is hard. she enjoys every aspect of the process.
She loves creating plots and characters and putting together the various threads of a story to produce a complete novel.
The author has always looked to her three children for inspiration. Not only does listening to her stories get Caroline’s creativity flowing, but she has also admitted that she uses them in her stories.
The author also loves to visit schools. for one thing, she knows her readers. she loves to hear how her books have impacted young minds and possibly even drawn some of them into the culture of reading.
Schools also provide an insightful picture of the United States because they are populated by children from a variety of backgrounds.
on the other hand, interacting with school-age children allows caroline b. cooney to make his stories as realistic as possible. By immersing herself in the lives of teenagers, Caroline believes that she is in a better position than most to write novels that speak to them effectively.
Although the author writes for children, she does not want to please or belittle them. her goal is to offer thought-provoking content that resonates with teens.

there are so many faces of missing children on the milk cartons that no one pays attention to them. Janie never intended to find the photo of the girl she knew was her. But once she saw that photo and she realized that her parents might have kidnapped her, there was no turning back.
now janie’s world has been turned upside down. A call for justice has been made, but no one knows who is to blame for the fiasco that is unfolding. Janie must decide where she belongs and which group of parents she should go to.
The second book in the Janie Johnson series continues with Janie learning how she ended up at the Johnson house. she also gets to know her real family.
