As a real estate agent, I always had to go to open houses and wait for potential buyers. it was while he was doing this work that he began to create scenarios and stories in his head. some of them were unsettling, some of them were scary; but finally she led her to get the idea to write all these stories in a book.
To fulfill her dream, she sold her house and left her job as a real estate broker to write a book. this work eventually led to her first published novel by her, still missing.
chevy is at its best when working on exciting stories, as that has long been its favorite genre. When Stevens is not writing, she likes to go camping and hiking with her husband and daughter. Chevy lives on Vancouver Island with her husband and her daughter.

the name chevy stevens is actually a pseudonym. her birth name was rene unischewski. for her pseudonym, she was inspired by her father’s nickname of “chevy” and “stevens” by her brother steven’s name. The name Unischewski has interesting origins as her father was from Germany, but her grandparents were Russian.
chevy considers himself a morning person. she likes to be outdoors and be active outdoors, but when she sits down to write she needs to be completely quiet. she has even gone so far as to wear earplugs while she writes to achieve proper concentration.
In addition to her own books, she is a fan of Stephen King, William Landay, Lisa Gardner, Karin Matanza, Tana French, and Gillian Flynn.
