Please note that the standard student budget includes actual amounts for tuition and fees, as well as estimated allocations for related educational expenses. tuition and health insurance fees are expenses billed directly to students, while all other categories are estimated allowances not to be exceeded. eligibility for financial assistance is determined using the following standard cost estimates.

tuition policies and course credits for full-time students

  • students must register for a minimum of 12 credits per semester (excluding summer and May time periods).
  • students may register for a maximum of 20 credits per semester .
  • students must meet the minimum 32 credit requirement to earn their degree and may not exceed a total of 40 credits (please note: how people learn or other summer term credits do not count for maximum credits; for those completing how people learn/summer credits, your total credits cannot exceed 48).

tuition policies and course credits for part-time students

  • students must register for a minimum of 6 credits per semester (excluding summer and May time periods).
  • students may register for a maximum of 10 credits per semester .
  • students must meet the minimum 32-credit requirement to earn their degree.
  • credits for courses taken during May, June, or July do not count toward semester minimums fall or spring.
  • credits from the January term are counted as part of the spring semester.
  • students will complete the degree program in two years.

Note: Unless receiving financial aid, students admitted as part-time students or who changed to part-time status prior to June 3, 2020 are not subject to these minimum requirements and credit maximums and can take up to three years to complete the degree program. they will also have a tuition on how people learn, taken during June-July 2020, added to their fall bill.
