Born November 1, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Karen Marie Moning was to embark on a career as one of America’s most prestigious romance authors. The daughter of Anthony and Janet, she would draw on her environment for much of her adult career. she would later attend college, drawing further inspiration from her. Upon graduating from Purdue University, she earned a Bachelor of Science and Law, something she would later rely on when writing. she also established her voice by drawing inspiration from the environment around her, something she also gained from her early career. Her experiences as a waitress, insurance specialist, and computer consultant would help provide a foundation in her work that she would act as the basis for much of her later material.
With a variety of interests, she has managed to shape and inform her career over the years as she is well known for including mythology in her work. this is specifically the case with Celtic mythology which has helped inform much of her career. her continuing to write from her home in cincinnati, she will continue to build her oeuvre from now on for the foreseeable future.
