Kyra Davis is a Californian girl, born in Santa Clara to an African American man and an Eastern European woman. Davis’s childhood had its fair share of ups and downs, mainly because the author’s Jewish mother raised her alone.
kyra’s interest in the arts was sparked at a very young age. When she started school, she had set her sights on theater and eventually took part in a few productions.
It seemed that the author was destined to follow this path through college. But then a trip to Europe changed everything for Kyra, and when she returned home, the author had set her sights on fashion merchandising.
kyra went so far as to enroll in the fashion institute of design and merchandising. she even spent some time at the institute of fashion technology. However, that particular path never turned out the way Kyra hoped, although it was during these years that the author met her first husband.
He finally decided on a degree in business administration and humanities which he obtained from golden gate university. The divorce came sometime in 2001, leaving Kyra reeling.
The prospect of caring for a two-year-old as a single mother filled Kyra Davis with some anxiety, not only because she was struggling financially but also as a result of her son’s special needs situation.
kyra did not start writing with publishing goals in mind. the author just needed to get away from all the turmoil of her life. writing a story about a woman who goes through turmoil to emerge triumphant gave kyra that outlet. she actually remembers laughing several times during the process of writing her story.
and before she knew it, kyra’s attempts to jot down some ideas had turned into fifty pages. the author quickly realized that she had something incredible on her hands.

kyra finally reached out, got an agent, and closed a deal with a publisher. Since then, Kyra Davis has become a formidable author in the field of chic literature.
kyra’s writing style is heavily influenced by her background in theater. Kyra grew up honing her ability to write screenplays for the theatre. the scripts largely revolve around dialogue and are written in such a way that each voice is different.

sophie katz is a mystery writer with an overactive imagination; Or at least that’s what everyone keeps telling her every time they dismiss her concerns about an intruder.
however, sophie won’t be so easily discouraged. When a filmmaker and friend of Sophie’s dies, the mystery writer can’t help but realize that he was killed in a similar way to what happened in one of his movies. Sophie knows there’s a mystery afoot, even if no one will believe her. so she puts on her detective hat and decides to get to the bottom of things.
the first book in the sophie katz series was a huge success because kyra davis wrote a very fun and dynamic character in sophie katz. The protagonist of the book, Sophie’s story begins when she realizes that a crazed killer has been snooping around her apartment.

unfortunately for sophie, everyone thinks she’s a little crazy. even her hairdresser thinks she is reaching. But Sophie trusts her instincts and she is sure something sinister is going on.
The writer’s hunches are proven accurate when a friend of hers is killed and it is revealed that a copycat killer may be on the loose. and that killer wants to catch sophie.
but sophie has no intention of going to bed and being a victim of anyone. if no one takes her seriously, she’ll have to track down and catch the crazed killer in question alone.
sophie’s assignment takes a complicated turn when a new man enters her life, leaving the author curious about this mysterious figure’s intentions and whether or not he might be connected to her friend’s murder.
This book is successful because Kyra’s writing is so engaging and exciting. she also creates some surprisingly relatable characters.
+passion, betrayal, and notorious killers
sophie katz can’t rest. Just as Ella finally escapes a murder investigation, Ella’s sister Leah De Ella’s husband dies and Leah becomes the prime suspect.
however, sophie doesn’t believe the accusations. Leah and Bob have been married for many years. and have faced many challenges. however, sophie knows that her sister has always been content to be married to bob. And Bob’s infidelity did little to break her devotion to her husband.
in fact, leah was trying to get her husband back when he was murdered. Sophie realizes that she has to find Bob’s real killer to clear Leah’s name.
The second book in the Sophie Katz series tends to attract mixed reactions, mainly because of Leah. Unlike Sophie, Leah is a very unpleasant character. and it doesn’t help that she has a son who can utter complete, coherent sentences despite being eighteen months old.
leah’s character doesn’t stand up to proper scrutiny. she is described as a devoted and loyal wife. she however, shows almost no sadness at the death of her husband. and she doesn’t seem particularly concerned that her child will now grow up without a father.
the central mystery is missing; however, kyra davis has never promised her readers top-notch mysteries. Like most of her books, this one is basic and elegant.
