once liane moriarty finished school, she embarked on a career in marketing and advertising. during this period, she became quite corporate, wondering about the size of her office and the like. being an entrepreneur, she decided to leave her job at a legal publishing house as a marketing manager, to manage her own business, ‘the small advertising agency’. however, this business was not very successful and she later started working as a freelance copywriter, mainly dealing with advertising products. She this was very successful and she enjoyed writing everything from TV commercials and websites. In all this time she wrote numerous stories and countless first chapters of different novels that did not go any further. the reason why she didn’t continue with the novels is because she really firmly believed that real writers don’t publish her novels. However, one day this changed and her sister Jacklyn Moriarty influenced the change. That’s when she called to tell her that her hilarious, brilliant, award-winning book, Feeling Sorry for Celia, was about to go through the publishing process. Due to her sister’s success, there was sibling rivalry and this challenged Liane Moriarty to write ‘The Olympian Animal’, a children’s book which was later rejected by all Australian publishers.

this is the second book in the series, space brigade. it is 240 pages long and was published on the same date that the first book in this series was published. the publishers are also the same and the book has only one edition. the book is a continuation of the groundbreaking book in the series. The book focuses on the next activity that Nicola and his space brigade undertake after returning from Globagaskar. This time Planet Shobble needs your services. this planet is like paradise, having a landscape with a thousand rainbows that are permanent. The planet also has pink marshmallows as natural resources along with the finest chocolate in the galaxy. however, there is a threat to this wonderful paradise as there is a sinister plot underfoot. Also, a member of the Space Brigade is taken hostage. With all the marshmallow and chocolate on the line, one can only imagine how Nicola will handle the situation. What will Nicola do and how will the space brigade manage to rescue his member? those are just questions that can only be answered once you read the book.
