It’s a great Christian series from Janette Oke, but it can be tricky knowing what order to watch them in. so here is the list with the correct order of love come soft series – if you want to watch them in story order, not in the order they were released.
#1 – love begins (2011)

mama bear family movie review – love begins is a wonderful start to an excellent series. I have read the book series and these movies are similar but quite different. if you haven’t read the books or if you don’t compare them to the movies (because they really are quite different), then you will really enjoy the entire movie series.
main characters: ellen barlow and her sister cassie, clark davis
Summary: After the passing of their father, Ellen Barlow (Julie Mond) and her sister Cassie struggle to maintain the family farm in Anderson’s Corner. When Clark Davis (Wes Brown) runs into trouble in town on his way to California, Ellen agrees to hire him on the farm to pay off his debts.
Not long after, Clarke and Ellen unexpectedly develop feelings for each other. Ultimately, a turn of events inspires the couple to begin a legacy of love and faith together in this heartwarming family drama.
#2 – the eternal courage of love (2011)

Mama Bear Family Movie Review: This is the most recent movie in the series, and like all the other movies in the series, it is inspiring and uplifting. It has a great story to follow and it’s moving.

Summary: With the bank threatening to take over their farm, Clark Davis (Brown) and his wife Ellen (Julie Mond) struggle to support their family in a land blighted by drought. To make ends meet, Ellen takes a job in the city, but pushes herself to exhaustion and succumbs to scarlet fever.

#3 – love comes softly (2003)

mama bear family movie review: It’s very uplifting and keeps you going. has a great story of strength and faith. this is the original movie and probably the best made, imho.

mama bear family movie review: This is a movie that shows faith and wisdom. is a heartwarming movie that everyone in the family can watch and enjoy together. you don’t have to worry about the content being dirty at all. you will fall in love with this series if you give it a chance.

mama bear family movie review: another wonderful part of the series love comes softly. it’s fun to watch missie and her husband embark on their new journey together. this series is very healthy and good.

mama bear family movie review: This is a wonderful story of hope and joy. it is a great way to show that even though we have struggles and trials in our lives, the lord always knows what he is doing and has a plan for each of us.

Summary: After a perilous journey west, Missie (Erin Cotrell) and her husband (Logan Bartholomew) set up a farm where they begin to raise a family. #7 – love’s christmas trip (2012)
it was really hard to decide where to put this movie as it has characters that are barely mentioned or not mentioned in any of the other movies. i decided to put it here because it makes more sense character wise since all the movies that follow this one have belinda in them. you may want to watch it last, or watch it separately, at christmas.

ellie davis king (daughter of clark and marty, not mentioned in the movies but in the book love’s enduring promise) & aaron davis (clark and marty’s daughter, who appears in the movie the abiding promise of love), both half-siblings of missy (clark and ellen’s daughter, who dies in love with eternal courage)
Summary: Inspired by the best-selling “Love Comes Softly” book franchise written by Janette Oke, the first nearly 3-hour uplifting Christmas story in the series.
while still mourning the loss of her husband and daughter (neither her husband nor her daughter appear in any other film), recently widowed ellie davis king visits her brother aaron davis and their children for christmas .
ellie agrees to babysit aaron’s kids when he has to leave town. When a fire breaks out, Ellie works with a handsome deputy to clear a friend’s name and learns that if she can trust her faith, this Christmas may bring more miracles than she bargained for.
#8 – the endless legacy of love (2007)
is it good? bear-ometer score: 75% likes
mama bear family movie review: This isn’t my favorite of the series, but I still really enjoyed it. it has a cute and precious story and makes it intriguing to watch. this movie is sweet and shows another great side of love!

mama bear family movie review: this is a cute movie from the love come soft series. there is a lot of determination and dedication shown by the main characters and not to mention a fun romance to go along with it. it’s fun to watch the story unfold while wondering what will happen next.
main characters – belinda marshall lahaye tyler – draw simpson
Summary: Missie’s (erin cotrell) adopted daughter Belinda (explorer taylor-compton) is determined to become a doctor, but despite her dedication and skill, doc jackson (robert pine) believes that women they should stay home, just like belinda suitor, drew simpson (patrick levis)!
But with faith and hard work, Belinda begins to win the hearts and minds of everyone around her, including a wealthy widow (Nancy Linehan Charles), who just might help make Belinda’s dreams come true in this satisfying drama. familiar that also stars samantha smith and dale midkiff.
#10 – love takes flight (2009)

mama bear family movie review: this movie is great for learning and seeing a good example of faith and hope when you persevere and keep trying.

Summary: Still as feisty as ever, Belinda Simpson is now a doctor in a small Missouri town where an unknown plague is spreading fear and resentment among the townspeople. a local resident believes the disease spread from the town’s orphanage and wants it closed.

mama bear family movie review: In my opinion, this is a bit more boring than the others in the series, but I still enjoyed it. the plot is not as dynamic as the rest.
