mitch rap – the last american hero. Mitch Rapp is the protagonist and hero of the novels by author Vince Flynn before his death. Kyle Mills took over the series after Flynn’s passing. the first novel under mills is the survivor. All the books follow the publication order chronologically with the exception of American Assassin and Kill Shot. american assassin should be ready chronologically first, followed by kill shot, then the rest of the books.
however, vince flynn stated in a previous interview that he would prefer readers to read the books in publication order to get the full effect. Each of Mitch Rapp’s novels is narrated by Rapp and is the story of his exploits as a United States government counter-terrorist agent. Rapp eventually decided to attend Syracuse University because his childhood crush and girlfriend, Maureen, enrolled in college to study broadcasting. rap led the life of a college athlete until his world stopped when his girlfriend was killed. Maureen was returning from a semester abroad when her plane, Pan Am Flight 103, was blown up in a terrorist attack. With her rap life in shambles, she turned his aggressiveness into investigating the people responsible for the death of his girlfriend.
Before graduating from Syracuse, Irene Kennedy recruited Mitch to join the CIA. Knowing that the CIA needed athletic, impressionable agents to prevent terrorist attacks against the United States, Irene used the anger she knew he felt in rap to convince him to join the CIA. Kennedy offered Mitch an opportunity he couldn’t turn down: the chance to hunt down those responsible for Maureen’s death. The week after graduating from Syracuse with a minor in international business and a minor in French, Mitch Rapp entered the CIA training program.

However, unlike other Agency recruits, Rapp did not attend “The Farm” and instead entered a secret training program with Stan Hurley, a former CIA agent. Stan trained Rap in how to hunt, stab, use explosives, and kill with just his bare hands. The show was designed to make Mitch the ultimate American weapon: a killing machine. He not only trained physically, but also trained mentally by learning Arabic, Persian, German, and Italian fluently.

Team Orion is a top-secret government program supported by the CIA, but run off limits. In other words, the Orion team operates without rules. the team was formed after the pan am attacks as a unit designed to circumvent the limits of the law and operate without rules.
an extremely secret unit, the team’s origins are known only to a select few. The team is led by rap recruiter and mother figure, Irene Kennedy. from day one, rap is the star of the orion team. Rapp has spent time researching intelligence for the US government. uu. in Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. When questioned, Rap and his team must eliminate targets without the knowledge of the US government.
To protect his cover with the CIA, Rapp runs a small computer consulting business in Washington, D.C. Anyone who questions rap tours to exotic locations will discover that his connection to the CIA is as a private contractor. The rapp business is actually very successful, and he often conducts business while traveling to maintain his cover. To protect his identity, the rapper must hide his true profession from his friends and family.

Luckily, the only surviving rapp family is a brother, a genius and a billionaire. Rap has appeared in all thirteen Vince Flynn novels and is expected to be used in a film adaptation of Flynn’s American Assassin novel.

In Flynn’s next novel, The Third Option, Rapp is sent to Germany to assassinate an arms dealer who has been selling weapons to Saddam Hussein and America’s other dangerous enemies. While he is on the mission, Rap is paired up with a couple who, after the successful assassination attempt, try to kill Rap.

Rapp fears that his employer, the CIA and, more importantly, his boss, Irene Kennedy, have ordered his assassination to cover up events in Germany. however, after a persuasive talk with his employers, he discovers that someone else has orchestrated the attempt on his life. Rapp soon learns that many of his fellow operatives are being killed and that her life is in danger.
while fighting for his life, rapp discovers that a powerful coalition of americans is trying to bring down the president to set their own agenda. With few options, rap must fight these men in an effort to protect the presidency and his life.
