Called ‘an accidental death’, it would not only boost the franchise, but also his writing career in the process. this would grow over time along with his reputation as he would develop both his writing and that of the ‘dc smith’ character.
Although he is primarily known for his ‘dc smith’ series of novels, he also writes a series called ‘willows and lane’ which he has recently started. The ‘DC Smith’ series has six total titles so far and counting, while ‘Willows and Lane’ only has one, with more expected to follow. it is perhaps his most popular and prolific ‘dc smith’ series, but only time will tell as the other progresses.
With a strong online presence, Grainger has been promoting himself and his work heavily, having become a very prolific presence. this has allowed him to build on his main character from ‘dc smith’, giving him the backstory he needs when writing about him. it also allows readers to resonate with him much more effectively, creating a sense of familiarity with the character that grows over time.
Now clearly in his element, Peter Granger is still a regular writer having come a long way in a relatively short period of time. Coming out via the ‘covey publishing’ tag, this was to be the sixth title in the ongoing ‘dc smith’ series of novels. setting up another independent investigation for the detective of the same name, it is derived from the previous title, but can also be read informally. developing the many characters and the overall world of the franchise, it marks an exemplary addition to the series as a whole.
lies dead near lowacre in a field mark randall while dc smith was busy elsewhere in belfast city. Telling himself “it’s not his case”, Smith tries to continue engaging elsewhere, but finds it impossible to forget about the murder. that’s when he discovers that the investigation is not going in the direction that it should go, since he discovers that the wrong man can be convicted. Will he be able to find the real killer? Will he be able to get justice for the murdered? what will become of him when he finds himself against the rags of time?

Once again using the “covey” publishing medium, this manages to function as an independent effort from grainger as the author. Released on January 30, 2017, this was a title that came out in the middle of his run, with an already eager audience waiting. Marking a bit of a departure from his more mystery-based novels, it follows a more discreet pace, with lessons on life and how to live it.
emily willows is the middle-aged protagonist, who seeks to appease her boredom and her wealth, since she really doesn’t know what to do with herself. It is then that she is presented with a day like no other, as she faces a series of events that could truly challenge her. She’s terrified an inch from her life, she doesn’t know what’s really in store for her after a new neighbor moves in with a mysterious past. Will she find out what life is really about? what secrets lurk in strangers’ past? can she stay out of the fast lane?
