his revolution

Well, I’m a bit biased on this particular post, but I think you’ll love reading his revolution.

When a small incident of insubordination in an exotic resort town proves to be the first tremor of a revolution, Castillia turns to her eleven-year-old military prodigy innocence and her loyal guardians for help.

Castillia has enemies, that’s for sure. but who is fomenting this uprising?

Sedition is an old trick that the southern republic, ausonia, with its towering obsidian pyramids, tends to like. In fact, the exotic city belonged to Ausonia and they have always wanted to recover it.

But could they really stage such a riot amongst all their dancing and drinking?

or vesper, the mighty northern republic finally awoke from its slumber? he has a lot of old scores to settle with the city of innocence.

for innocence, crushing the uprising could be the perfect way to end the most legendary military career castillia has ever witnessed and start an exciting new life as a prominent politician. perhaps the only politician in any republic with the power to unite humanity and evacuate it from the dying planet.

but it could also be the perfect way to start what you’ve always secretly yearned for: your own empire.

carve the mark is for divergent and star wars fans and is a story roth has been working on since he was 12 years old.

You already know this is going to be a crazy story when the author describes it as “not about good people doing the right thing to save the world, it’s more about desperate people doing whatever it takes to get what they want.” “.

We are introduced to Cyra and Akos on a planet where violence and revenge are the norm and in a universe where everyone has a unique power. Cyra’s brother is a brutal and ruthless tyrant who uses his powers for his own ends.

akos is from the peace-loving country of thuvhe, but when his brother is captured by crya’s overbearing older brother, akos vows to do anything to save his younger brother.

bella forrest’s genre game

Readers of dystopian novels in general will enjoy this trope-filled, romantic and twisted game that has become an almost instant bestseller. Part 1 of a 7-book series, the genre game features a strong female lead in a world where women rule the east and men rule the west. At the center of it all is a young woman named Violet Bates. Violet has been sentenced to death and the only way to save her own life and find out why her brother mysteriously disappeared is to embark on a dangerous journey and cross a toxic river to the land ruled by men.

the test

“graduation day”.

this new series by joelle charbonneau took me by surprise. while it’s definitely similar to divergent, it’s unique in its own exciting ways.

Inspired by the blood sport that is today’s college application process, these novels allow you to channel your insecure inner seventeen-year-old self and see what it’s like to become the chosen one and get into princeton.

p>

After the Seven Stage War leaves most of the world in post-apocalyptic ruins, humanity’s only hope for survival rests with an elite group. To join this new world order, the candidates must succeed in a brutal test called “the test”.

partial dan wells

partials by dan wells

Hopefully, if you’re a fan of Veronica Roth’s books, you’ve already heard of the Partial series, which bears many similarities to Divergent.

humanity has essentially been wiped out entirely after we created a race of super soldiers to fight our wars for us. then the elite killing machines, the partials, turned on us and unleashed a devastating plague to which only a fraction of humans were immune.

When Kira’s best friend becomes pregnant (when the infant mortality rate is essentially 100%), it leads Kira to hatch a desperate plan: sneak into partisan-held territory, capture one, and find out why it’s immune. to viruses in order to save the life of her best friend’s son.

ender’s game will always have a very special place in my heart.

It was one of the first science fiction/fantasy books I read, and while it’s not strictly dystopian, it has enough in common with Divergent to make it an enjoyable read for you.

The ending of this book is probably the best ending of any book I’ve ever read. and I have read many books.

red rising borrows from divergent very profitably, lining its pockets with Greek and Roman lore, then stuffing its sack with some classic sci-fi jargon.

Instead of dividing a post-apocalyptic city into divergent factions, this novel presents a society structured in color.

pierce brown models the upper strata of society, the golds, as 18th-century blond-haired, gold-eyed British gentlemen who imperiously rule the galaxy and have a penchant for dueling (guns at dawn, man?), efficiency , and zero sense of mercy or traditional morality.

so basically the east indian company, but no verbal duels between shelley and peacock.

the humble working class has changed their blue collars for red (those who work in the mines of Mars), while pink is used to please in all carnal ways within reach of the imagination.

instead of tris and four we have darrow and mustang, whose romance is much more uncertain and complicated than that of your favorite divergent characters.

darkest minds of alexandra bracken

“grace somerfield was the first to die.”

(Actually, hundreds of thousands of American children had died before Grace Somerfield. Michael Everheart was the first to die.)

Written by a young Alexandra Bracken, this dystopian story introduces us to a young woman named Ruby.

ruby has survived everheart disease, a disease that killed most of America’s children, and is rewarded with a trip to thurmond, a “rehab camp”.

You’re properly shaking at that phrase.

When Ruby breaks free from the rehab camp and heads to the East River, where she meets others who share her immensely powerful gifts, she could never have known the kind of fight she was about to enter or the terrible decisions to be made. which you will face.

If you were on the fence about reading this book, and you really shouldn’t be, look no further than that. J. maas said about it:

The Darkest Minds is one of the best books I’ve ever read. it is not a joke. I can’t even properly express how much I love this book. It touched my soul, it’s that amazing.

enclave

enclave-book

“I was born during the second holocaust.”

how’s that for an opening line?

This is probably one of the bravest young adult dystopian novels I’ve come across recently, even for a genre that works comfortably in the dark and gray tones of existence. so while enclave is definitely one of those divergent-like books, it’s also a lot darker.

In a post-apocalyptic New York City (not Chicago), the surviving population lives underground and is divided into 3 groups: breeders, builders and hunters.

You only get a name if you manage to stay alive for your first fifteen years, so life unfolds bubonic plague style.

introduces our heroine two, a huntress who is tasked with venturing into the dangerous tunnels and bringing home meat for her underground colony.

sounds pretty simple, right?

well, he has to avoid ferocious monsters known as “freaks”, which are like fearless zombies.

and things get more and more complicated when a young, handsome, brooding and irreverent (did they come another way?) named fade joins her.

It’s hard to pay attention to the things that matter most when she’s next to her lovely new male partner and his dangerous thoughts, which could get them both kicked out of their underground bunker if he doesn’t care about her. words.

In the world of Cassia, society has it all figured out for you. they tell you what work to do, what food to eat, and whom to love. and they always do it right.
