So, once upon a time there was a pair of pants. just a pair of ordinary jeans. but these pants, the travel pants, did great things. This is the story of the four friends, Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen, who made it happen.
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was made into a movie in 2005, starring Alexis Bledel as Lena, Amber Tamblyn as Tibby, America Ferrera as Carmen, and Blake Lively as Bridget. a sequel was released three years later with the same cast.

Lena’s plans to attend art school are interrupted when her conservative father discovers her drawing a nude male model during a summer class. Carmen takes a job babysitting Lena’s curmudgeonly grandmother and decides to attend the local college when she discovers that her mother and her new stepfather are expecting a baby. Bridget goes to summer camp and is surprised to learn that her ex-partner is also a counselor.

- forever in blue: the brotherhood’s fourth summer: the travel pants are back for one last glorious summer. Lena dives into her painting and a heady summer fling, fearing that the moment she forgets about Kostos is the moment she sees him again. Carmen falls under the spell of a sophisticated college friend to whom a stage role means everything and a pants heritage means nothing. Bridget joins a dig for an ancient city on the coast of Turkey and discovers that her archeology professor is available in every way except one. Tibby leaves someone she loves behind, mistakenly believing he will stay where she left him.
- 3 Willows: The Sisterhood Rises – Start a new sisterhood, with occasional cameos from the brotherhood of the traveling pants gang. Ama, Jo, and Polly originally met in third grade. now it’s the summer before high school and everyone is dealing with disappointments and difficulties. Ama is appalled at her assignment to a wilderness summer camp instead of the academic program she expected. Jo is dealing with the separation of her parents from her and the extremely attractive guy at work. and Polly struggles to become a model through crash diets and modeling camp.
- Eternal Sisterhood: Ten years later, the story continues. Nearing their thirties, Tibby, Lena, Carmen and Bridget now live separate lives on their own. however, despite having jobs and men they love, each knows that something is missing: the closeness that she once sustained. Carmen is a successful actress in New York, engaged to be married, but she misses her friends. Lena finds solace in her art, teaching on Rhode Island, but she still thinks of costs and the path she did not take. Bridget lives with her longtime boyfriend, Eric, in San Francisco, and while a part of her wants to settle down, a larger part of her can’t seem to shake her old restlessness. Then Tibby walks over to bridge the distance, sending the others plane tickets to a reunion they’re all gasping for that will change their lives forever.
