She lives with her husband Patrick and her two daughters in San Diego, California and spends the summers in Newark Pond, Vermont at her family’s camp.
He started writing his own stories when he was just seven years old. At the age of nine, he wrote his first “novel” using his father’s huge blue electric typewriter.
Most days, Greenwood works in his pajamas. beyond that, it is the writing itself as well as the creative process that excites her. she has an abiding and deep love for history and language. the mere fact that she has been able to turn this into a “job” is still mind blowing to her.

“Breathing Water” is the first independent novel, which was published in 1999. Effie Greer flees the small community of Lake Gormlaith in New England after a tragic boating accident. Max, her boyfriend and a man with an explosive temper and a shattered past, has accidentally killed a young black woman visiting town for the summer. Effie, unable to deal with her own role in the girl’s death, drifts from different cities until she finds out that Max died of a heroin overdose.
