The series is written by author Edgar Rice Burroughs between the years of 1912 and 1965 and there have been many adaptations of the series in various forms including film, stage, television and radio. The Tarzan figure created by author Burroughs has no flaws or flaws and is completely one of a kind hero. he is intelligent, handsome, tall in stature and athletic in physique. he has black hair, gray eyes, his body is tan and he describes himself as Caucasian or European in origin. he has constant emotions, loyal and brave and he has a sharp mind as learning a new language is not that difficult for him. his behavior is ethical most of the time and he loves her wife deeply and gives her totally. After a year, his mother dies due to some disease and his father, Lord Greystoke, is killed by Kerchak, who is currently the Ape King. Later Kala, the ape adopts John Clayton and names him ‘Tarzan’, which in ape language means ‘white skin’. he always felt different because of his physical appearance and meanwhile finds his parents’ cabin. there he finds a book and comes to know from the image that there are others like him and also learns to read. a huge gorilla attacks him during one of his visits to the cabin and with the help of his father’s knife he kills the gorilla. during the fight he is terribly wounded and becomes a skilled hunter as he grows older and continues to grow jealous against the leader of the kerchak wild apes.

Later, one of the black African hunters kills the kala ape, which has just settled in the area. After this, Tarzan begins to behave antagonistically towards the tribe and storms the village to scare them. Tarzan soon begins to take a liking to the ape tribe and eventually attacks Kerchak. . Meanwhile, he finds out the true identity of her inheritance, but for the sake of Jane’s happiness, he decides not to reveal it.

The second novel in the Tarzan series is titled ‘The Return of Tarzan’ and was published in the year 1913. It picks up where the first novel left off and travels to meet Paul D’Arnot, his friend in Europe after sacrificing his master jane porter. On board the ship he meets Count Raoul de Coude and his wife Countess Olga de Coude and there is Nikolas Rokoff along with Alexis Paulvitch, his henchman trying to take advantage of them. It is soon revealed that Rokoff is the Countess’s brother. Tarzan opposes his plan and this makes him his enemy. Rokoff tries to get rid of Tarzan in France, but Tarzan politely defends himself and is given a job in Algeria as Count Raoul’s special agent. After a while, he travels with Jane’s friend, Hazel Strong, to Cape Town. Rokoff and Paulvitch are also in the same boat with him. Seeking revenge, they throw Tarzan overboard, but he miraculously swims to the edge of the same jungle in which he was raised. there he befriends the warrior of the Waziri Busuli tribe. he later defends an attack on the Waziri tribe and becomes the chief of the tribe. they later make their way to the lost city in the jungle, but are captured by beast-like men, who sacrifice people to consecrate their sun god.

the beautiful priestess of opar, who performs the sacrifice, speaks the language of the apes and helps them escape. In Cape Town, Hazel meets Jane, her father, and her fiancé William Clayton. They travel on Lady Alice, a cruise to the West Coast of Africa together with Rokoff. in the middle of the ocean the ship sinks and the passengers board the lifeboat. The ship reaches the same shore where Tarzan is present. they’ve been starving there on the shore for weeks and then one day they’re surrounded by a lion. clayton covers himself instead of covering jane and this makes jane lose respect. They soon discover that the lion is dead and their savior, Tarzan, does not reveal himself. Later, Jane is kidnapped by the sacrificed men, but she is saved by Tarzan and discovers that Jane loves him too. On the coast they find Clayton abandoned and dying of a fever. Clayton reveals in his last moments that Tarzan is Lord Greystoke. They later find the remaining castaways and arrest Rokoff. tarzan and jane marry and sail off to civilization along with some of the opar’s treasures.
