timothy hallinan has always dreamed of being a writer since he was young. After reading the novel Gone with the Wind at age 11, Timothy realized that it was extremely possible to come up with a much more interesting story than real-life encounters. His journey didn’t stop there because when he was in eighth grade, Timothy fell in love with his English teacher, Miss Reid, who was 22 at the time. to show her affection, timothy decided to write a love poem to her teacher, who, upon receiving it, handled it with care and extraordinary delicacy. The English teacher gave the poem a positive review and told Timothy that he really had talent. As he got older, Timothy joined a band where he began writing and composing songs for them before landing a real job. After getting his first job, Timothy started writing at night. During the day, Timothy Hallinan worked as a consultant for several corporations that he used to advise on various topics such as audience building and sponsorship.
Over time, Timothy created his own firm, Hallinan Consulting, where he was hired to create several educator websites for television shows such as The Supreme Court, Slavery in America, and The Rise and Fall of Jim. crow. his career as a writer did not start immediately as he had hoped. it wasn’t until he wrote the third book of his that he got a three book deal which later got him a six book deal. The six book contract series was about an overly polite private investigator Simeon. this series was widely accepted and positively reviewed with most of the titles appearing on various top 10 lists. In 2007, Timothy Hallinan returned with a second series set in Bangkok, his current hometown since the 1980s. Later, Poke discovers that he has been caught in the middle of a web of deception. In this book, Hallinan has managed to grab the reader’s attention through the use of brilliantly crafted descriptions of personalities and places. By describing one’s physical appearance, Hallinan gives the reader a glimpse of the character’s emotional state. it is worth mentioning that although he describes bangkok with pure respect, hallinan does not fail to highlight the darker side of the city. Overall, this novel is not only easy to read, but also compelling.
