timothy hallinan has always dreamed of being a writer since he was young. Over time, Timothy created his own firm, Hallinan Consulting, where he was hired to create several educator websites for television shows such as The Supreme Court, Slavery in America, and The Rise and Fall of Jim. crow. his career as a writer did not start immediately as he had hoped. it wasn’t until he wrote the third book of his that he got a three book deal which later got him a six book deal. Later, Poke discovers that he has been caught in the middle of a web of deception. In this book, Hallinan has managed to grab the reader’s attention through the use of brilliantly crafted descriptions of personalities and places. By describing one’s physical appearance, Hallinan gives the reader a glimpse of the character’s emotional state. it is worth mentioning that although he describes bangkok with pure respect, hallinan does not fail to highlight the darker side of the city. Overall, this novel is not only easy to read, but also compelling.
