victor methos is an american author of fiction. he was born in kabul, afghanistan and knew that he had an interest in law since he was thirteen years old. His friend had the experience of being interrogated for more than eight hours by the police and it resulted in a confession to a crime that his friend never committed.
since that day, methos wanted to practice criminal law. methos gave up a potential boxing career and studied philosophy to go to school to become a defense attorney. he graduated from the university of utah with a law degree and wanted to learn as much as he could about practicing law in real life. he worked in a practice that had flashing signs out front and that they were doing everything they could to win cases.

after that, he worked in salt lake city as a prosecutor for a time and then went on to found his own law firm. he did well and would go on to be very successful. he has defended his clients in over a hundred trials over the course of a decade and only lost two of them.
When Methos was on a case with a father who had shot the rapists who attacked his daughter, he couldn’t get the story out of his head. she thought she had to get it out on the page. it was the inspiration for his best-selling novel, The Neon Lawyer. The book was released to the public in 2013 and is the first novel in the Brigham Theodore series, followed by the sequel Mercy. Since then, he has written about legal thrillers more frequently and publishes about two books a year on the genre.
