biography of andrew peterson:
andrew peterson is a talented author known for writing impressive thrillers. He was raised and born in San Diego, California. He attended La-Jolla High School, then received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oklahoma. he began writing fiction in 1990 and sold his first short story, titled “mr. haggarty’s shop”, in 1992 for the san-diegowriters-monthly.
andrew has been interested in rifles from a very young age. During a summer camp, he won his first shooting competition. From there, he grew a hobby and experience in rifles. He proudly won several West Coast shooting competitions throughout the 1990’s and currently holds the position of Master in the NRA’s High Power Rifle Rating System. This certification can probably be attributed to his 1995 gold medal, which he earned in the Walk of Excellence in Competition at the Nevada State Championships; or first place in the 1994 Arizona State Championship 1,000-yard service rifle match.

andrew began writing his nathan-mcbride series in 1997. his career took off in 2005 when he attended his first writers conference. Three years later, he sold his first Nathan-McBride novel, The First To Kill. peterson is heavily involved with veterans’ hospitals and has donated over two thousand books to wounded soldiers across the country.
andrew peterson is currently working on his fourth nathan-mcbride novel in the series. there are three other books; which include first to kill, forced to kill, and option to kill. Andrew now lives in California with his wife, Carla.
first to kill – book one
This is the first in the Nathan McBride series and the beginning of a fascinating and complex trio of fiction books. this book is an action thriller that has a fast-paced plot from the moment you start reading. Nathan-McBride is a former Marine sniper and undercover CIA agent with a constant heart and ambition to help those in need. his training is now required by the government. he looks like an undercover fbi agent and a mass of explosions have vanished into thin air. Although Nathan is retired, he feels it is his duty to take on this mission. this is a fast-paced novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat. this book also has a personal aspect; The missing FBI agent turns out to be the grandson of Frank Ortega, the former FBI director who asked for McBride’s help. McBride finds the men who stole the explosives: two brothers named Leonard and Ernie Bridgestone. McBride kills one of the terrorists working for them, and in return they blow up the FBI headquarters building in California. And somehow, even under all this pressure, McBride finds time to become romantically involved with Holly Simpson, another FBI agent. you will fall in love with the character of mcbride; he is a humble hero who does not allow anyone to be bullied.

This second book in the series begins with a blast from the past. Fourteen years ago, Nathan was brutally tortured almost to death by a Nicaraguan interrogator named Montez de Oca. montez de oca tortured and interrogated many others, but nathan was the only one who survived. Although he still bears the physical and emotional scars, he must still avenge all those who were not lucky enough to escape. after being missing for more than a decade, montez de oca is back and worse than ever. The FBI has now discovered a badly mutilated body in a Utah lake, which is undoubtedly the work of Montez de Oca. However, before McBride or the rest of the FBI can capture the horrific Nicaraguan nightmare, he kidnaps the Dalton family. It is then discovered that a company by the name of Power Solutions, Inc. it is connected with chaos. It’s up to Nathan to win back the Dalton family and stop Goose before it’s too late. if he enjoyed the first book, he’ll find this one even more intoxicating. forced to kill builds on the first book in the series, first to kill, but also builds its own action-packed plot.
kill option – book three
Option to Kill, the current final book in the series, is unlike any action thriller you’ve ever read. Nathan now has to deal with a scarred child and having no prior experience with any child, this is a new and frustrating experience for him. The story begins with Nathan rescuing a 12-year-old girl named Laura from a kidnapper. Nathan and Lauren have a hard time trusting each other; Lauren has just portrayed a far-fetched story surrounding her kidnapping. she tells nathan that she is in the witness protection program and believes that us marshals were involved in kidnapping him. It is also known that Lauren’s stepfather was murdered the night before. Nathan can’t believe how complex this seemingly simple kidnapping and ransom case has become, but he must learn to work with Lauren to unravel the mystery behind her abduction. this book is more unique than the others because it basically takes place over a day and a half. This book was originally published in seven (7) episodes on the Kindle serial system. Starting in September 2012 and ending in November 2012, each episode will keep you going until you read the next. Some people prefer this method of reading the book because it adds an extra suspense factor and removes the temptation to skip to the end of the book. however, most people would prefer to buy the entire book in one go.
conclusion
andrew is still determined to publish a fourth and fifth book in the nathan-mcbride series. Andrew has clearly used his passion for rifle shooting as inspiration for his CIA-based writing. These books are incredibly popular with Andrew Peterson fans and they can’t wait for the endings to come out. If you enjoy a good read with an exciting and suspenseful plot, be sure to give Nathan McBride’s series a try. the books received an overall rating of four (4) stars from satisfied readers, and for good reason. once you start reading a nathan mcbride novel, you won’t be able to put it down.
