angie fox is a new york times and usa today bestselling author of novels about werewolves, demon slayers and nocturnal creatures that leap high into the night. Fox’s characters are clear and brave, however, in real life, she is afraid of bees, basements, and going upstairs when it’s dark. One fact is that she wouldn’t last a minute in one of her books. She is popularly known as the author of the Demon Slayers series and the Southern Spirit Mysteries. fox is a student at the university of missouri and lives in st. louis with hers, her beloved husband, a football addict, her two sons, and moxie, the dog.
The author published the first novel in the demon slayer series, The Accident Demon Slayer in 2008. The second novel in the series The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers was published in 2009. On the other hand, Fox published the first book in Southern ghost hunter mysteries titled spirits of the south in 2015.

It’s never a good day, especially when an ancient demon shows up in the toilet bowl, but for Lizzie Brown, it’s just the beginning. Soon her terrier starts talking, and her long-lost witch granny starts spouting the magic-filled smucker jar. However, when she thinks she has seen it all, Lizzie discovers that she is a demon hunter and that hell is after her.

Of course, demons aren’t the only thing haunting his soul. Dimitri Kallinikos, a charming shape-shifting griffin needs her to kill his own demon. however, how can you convince a girl you’ve never met to go straight to the underworld? possibly through lying, but if that doesn’t work, how deadly could a little seduction be?
The first installment of the novel is exciting and an interesting read. The author introduces the reader to Lizzie Brown, the main character, in a way that he has never seen before. As you read the novel, you will realize that Lizzie Brown grew up with her adoptive parents and never had the chance to meet her real family. this forms a basis for a strong female character considering that she is “all alone” in this cruel world. she however, is very excited when she finds out that her grandmother finally found her and is about to visit her. however, we all know that our expectations do not always coincide with reality.
So, when her grandmother finds her way to Lizzie’s house, Lizzie is shocked to discover that her grandmother is a real witch and a hardcore biker. the moment her grandmother shows up at her apartment, lizzie, the unsuspecting woman, can really understand what her dog is saying and encounters a murderous demon, and from that moment on, her calm and well-planned life rebounds right into the hell.
the main character, lizzie, is the main reason this novel worked. she possesses a healthy dose of humor and irony, and her thoughts and comments will have her chuckling as she browses the pages. she matures as a character, and her development is believable.

There is some romance in this book, but surprisingly, this love never gets in the way of the main plot. You will also like the coven of witches who are also a biker gang who use outlaws as magic ingredients. the speeches of the dogs that appear in this novel are quite funny. Isn’t it funny when you have a dog that can express his ideas and have real conversations?
on the other hand, you will meet the elegant shape-shifting dimitri. he’s a good person, and the feelings between him and lizzie progress a little faster than you’d expect or you could say people get a little more nostalgic when the doomsday card is about to be played.
The main and secondary cast of this novel is brilliant and original. frieda, ant eater and grand are interesting in their own way. pirate, the cute little dog who is able to talk to lizzie after unlocking her powers, is the funniest and cutest thing you have ever read. The author, Fox manages to forge her way inside a dog’s head and captures her imagination.

This is the first redneck ghost hunter mystery novel written by Angie Fox. the story begins after a long time; An out-of-work graphic designer accidentally traps a ghost on her property. she is accused of more than just a supernatural companion: she can see spirits. The latest turn of events leads her to an offer she can’t deny from the brother of her ex-boyfriend and the last man she can associate with.
ellis wydell owns an extraordinary historic estate and is hunted by some of sugarland tennessee’s best ex-citizens, but some of them are becoming destructive and restless. as a result, he hires the truth to put an end to all these riots. however, the truth learns that there is more to the strange property than secret passageways, floating specters, and hidden rooms. the first novel about the mysteries of southern ghost hunters is an interesting read; we find the truth of the main character who is going to lose the property that his grandmother left him because she is bankrupt and prosecuted by the person he was going to marry. he didn’t even help that she left him at the altar and even showed up at the reception to smash the cake in her face. Unfortunately for her, her family is infamous and one of the most successful in sugarland, so she’s practically toast.
When cleaning up the last items after the auction, she discovers a strange urn, she rubs it, but she’s too late because a ghost named Frankie is now haunting her. With Frankie’s help, she ends up embroiled in a local mystery along with a handsome Sheriff Ellis, brother of her seedy ex-boyfriend. Unsurprisingly, Verity keeps it a secret as the two embark on an adventure exploring dangerous areas that seem haunted not only by ghosts but also by a poltergeist.
