Always interested in flying, Carbo got her pilot’s license and adventured to Norway, briefly working as a flight attendant.

christine carbo graduated from university with a master’s degree in english and linguistics. she used her education to teach at a local community college and taught courses in linguistics, writing, and literature. she still teaches in a different way as a teacher and owner of a studio that focuses on pilates. she lives in whitefish, montana, with her husband, three kids, a silly dog, and her cat.

is the author of the Glacier Mysteries series. The first book in this series was published in 2015 and is titled The Wild Inside. it is followed by the sequel, Deadly Fall, and the third book in the series, The Weight of the Night. A park officer, Monty is friendly and gets along with people. he also has detailed knowledge of the area, which ted believes will be useful in locating the killer. but when people who live in the area don’t provide any details or information, the lack of trust in outsiders turns out to be a kick in the butt.

the community feels they are connected to the nature around them and one thing is for sure, they will stick together and shut up against outsiders. As more days go by and nothing turns up in the way of clues, clues, or answers, the stakes are higher than ever. and somewhere there is a bear that might have some evidence about who carried out this heinous crime.

Driven by his search for the truth, Ted searches for the answers. his journey will take him to the desert and he will position himself behind the killer. ted must find out who is behind these acts and avoid falling prey to both the wild animals that live in this area and the killer. take this novel and see if ted can track down who is behind all this and make the park safe, or at least safer, once again.

Published in 2016, the main character of this crime novel is Monty Harris. thrills and chills abound in this compelling second novel in the series. When the death of a wildlife biologist in Glacier National Park leads to even more being discovered in the wild, authorities have second thoughts.

monty harris is a national park police officer. he knows that there is always one person every summer who has a good chance of finding his end in the park. maybe they are reckless, arrogant, ill-prepared, or have bad timing. some are even intoxicated. But when Paul Sedgewick falls off the cliffs in this park, everyone is shocked. It’s not like Paul was a reckless teenage high school student, he was an experienced wildlife biologist.

paul would have been very familiar with the hazards of the terrain in glacier national park and how to avoid the many pitfalls that await novice hikers there. The case hits close to home, taking place in a park that Monty must protect. everyone who works at the park is shocked by the incident. Monty wants to find the biologist’s cause of death not only to find a potential saboteur, but also to reassure the employees who work there.

logical and calm, monty already senses that something is not right in the situation. When rumors of suicide surface, he knows it’s not just a horrible death Paul could have suffered, but his reputation is now at risk as well. Monty doubles down on his determination to uncover the truth and find out what happened. Paul deserves it, as does his family. Besides, he would make Monty feel a little better if he knew about it too.

As Monty delves deeper into the things Paul was studying, he begins to see things from his point of view. Wolfie, as she was sometimes called, was studying the population of wolverines that lived in the park. this important part of the park’s ecology had been the biologist’s main passion. however, he had run into resistance at the local and federal levels. Not only that, but a wilderness rehab center for troubled teens may be linked to the case.

Monty’s older brother had been to this same rehab, and Monty is concerned when he learns that the case may be related to this facility. Monty investigates this case that seems to raise more questions the more answers he gets. As the past comes back to haunt you, long-buried betrayals may rise to the surface.
