reading john sandford’s books in order

do you have to read the john sandford books in order? my opinion is yes, and here’s why. The events of John Sandford’s Prey series take place in chronological order, which means that if you start the series from a book in the middle, you may not have some of the main character’s background or some things that happened before. /p>

As for the virgil flower series, the main character here is known by lucas davenport, who takes him to the bca (the minnesota bureau of criminal apprehension), which means he is the direct boss of lucas virgil . the location of the place is in bluestem, a small town that barely appears on the map.

so not only should the two john sandford series be read in their proper chronological order, but with the two main characters connected, it makes sense to follow them based on how the events unfolded. So, John Sandford’s book list includes many books to choose from, but they are all worth reading.

for several years, john sandford was a journalist, working for the miami herald between 1971 and 1978. after moving to minneapolis, he began writing as a reporter for the saint paul pioneer press for two years, before becoming a columnist full-time newspaper in 1980.

During his journalistic career, he was once nominated for, and once won, the Pulitzer Prize for a series he wrote about a family of farmers in Minnesota, with the title “Life on Earth: An American Farm Family “.

His debut as a novel writer began with two books he wrote in 1989, the first titled The Fool’s Run written under his own name, while the second, Rules of Prey written under his new pseudonym, John Sandford. each of these books was the beginning of a new and very popular series.

my favorite series yes, of course, its prey series. it’s suspenseful, gory, edge-of-your-seat type of stories, and I’ve been reading the books as fast as they came out, which thankfully came in at the rate of one book a year. although the official name of the series is lucas davenport, i’ve always called it ‘prey’ because, well, every book title contains the word ‘prey’ and honestly, once you read the john sandford novels in this series, you’ll you realize how much more appropriate he is prey compared to lucas davenport.

The entire Prey series from author John Sandford is fascinating, especially for anyone who loves books featuring a vicious, insane serial killer and his nemesis, who loves to hunt them down in often unorthodox ways. lucas davenport is not poor by any means. he has earned his money designing war games and he doesn’t really need this job. but he wants it and the freedom of not needing the money means he can catch the bad guys by following his own rules.
