We love this story because it is a true account of Ruby Rose as she celebrates Mardi Gras. If you’ve ever visited New Orleans for Mardi Gras, you’ll be amazed at all the beautiful “Mardi Gras trees” in full bloom with hundreds of beads hanging from their branches. The author of this story grew up in New Orleans and still lives there.
