question: do navy seals ever go through green beret training?
answer: as my platoon’s radio technician, i was sent to fort benning, north carolina, to attend morse code school with the green berets. I really enjoyed working with them and appreciate everything they do. I just heard from one of them the other day and he was fine.
They go through an arduous evaluation process to be able to wear the green beret. In the past you had to serve for three years in the military with a good record before applying for this job. but now you can apply right after finishing army boot camp. After that, you must pass the three-week Special Forces Assessment and Selection Course (SFAS). To enter this course, you must meet some basic physical fitness requirements by scoring a minimum of 260 on the Army Physical Fitness Test for the 17-21 age group.
